Itinerary

Depart from your hotel and transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to the world’s famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, regarded by many as the jewel of Kenya’s park. The flight takes around 45 minutes and you fly over the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley.
The reserve is considered as a “must see” for any guest traveling on a safari to Kenya on the “to do” list for many Kenyans and visitors alike because it is favored by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds.
Everything about this reserve is unique. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific, including migrants, for over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. Masai Mara is one of the best plains’ game reserve where you can actually encounter a live Discovery Channel, a sanctuary for viewing a congregation of all sorts of animals in a five-mile radius: A pride of lions can be spotted ready to make a run for a gazelle, a cheetah and its cub taking a nap on a rock, a pair of ostriches walking the open stretches of the savannah or a gazelle giving birth.
The reserve also provides the best view of the famous wildebeest migration as the animals cross the Mara River between July and October. Each year, far south in the great vastness of the Serengeti, the wildebeest raise their majesty but attractive heads, sniff the air and start the long trek to the Kenya border and the Masai Mara. Apart from the better-known species there are numerous opportunities to add some of the rare and less frequently seen animals to the visitor’s checklist. In the southwestern sector, you may be lucky enough to see roan antelope, a handsome creature regrettably rare countrywide. Bat-eared foxes peer from their burrows and there are thousands of Topi, a middle-sized antelope.
Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to your lodge/ camp for lunch and enjoy some leisure time. Proceed for an exciting game drive in the late afternoon during which you explore the surrounding parts of the Mara and see its amazing wildlife. Return to the lodge in the evening for rest, dinner and overnight. {Lunch & Dinner}

After breakfast depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunch and the day will be spent in game viewing. Our morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and numerous wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. Optional early morning Masai Mara hot air balloon safari, Masai Village and an exciting bush dinner to end an adventurous day can be arranged at an extra cost.
