Overview

This is a unique seven days safari covering the best parks and reserves in Kenya, in this safari you will get a chance to see different sub species of animals found in northern and southern part of Kenya and also get a chance to view wildlife at night at the Aberdare national park. In lake Nakuru you will get chance to see different types of animals and this park is also home to over 400 different birds species before wrapping up the safari in the World’s famous Masai Mara game Reserve.

Itinerary

Depart Nairobi and drive through the central part of Kenya while viewing coffee, pineapple and maize plantations, stop over at the equator line for a short photo session, you will then cross the equator line and drive to the northern part of Kenya to arrive in Samburu in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge, relax after lunch and then enjoy an evening safari from 1600 hours at the reserve, return later to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a morning game drive with a chance to see the big cats such as: Lions, Cheetahs and Leopards hunting return back to the lodge for breakfast and relax for the rest of the morning as you watch the animals grazing near the hotel or relax at the swimming pool, at 1600 hours enjoy another evening game drive, there is a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve. Several large game species common to Kenya's northern plains can be found in abundance here, including the following: Gerenuk, Somali Ostriches, Grevy zebras, Oryx, reticulated giraffes, lions, cheetahs and leopards can also be found here, as well as the elephant, Cape buffalo. The Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness, made famous in the best-selling book and award-winning movie Born Free. Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then check out enjoy an en route game drive up to the gate and then proceed to Aberdare national park with a stopover at the Aberdare Country club for lunch. This is a base hotel of the Ark Hotel and all guests going to the Ark usually check in here and then transferred to the tree hotel (The Ark) later in the afternoon together with the other clients.
The Ark lodge is unique for giving clients a chance to view wildlife at night from the comfort of their room balcony when the animals come to drink water at night at the water hole that is in the front side of the hotel. The main animals here are Elephants, Buffaloes, Water bucks, Hyenas, Bush bucks, Black rhinos and occasionally Leopards. Dinner and overnight at the Ark Lodge.

Transfer after breakfast to Lake Nakuru with a stopover at the equator. An equator is an imaginary line around the middle of the earth. The equator is halfway between the North Pole and the South Pole at '0' degrees latitude. The equator divides the planet into a Northern Hemisphere and a Southern Hemisphere. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch Enjoy an evening game drive from 1530 hours at the park which is home to Impalas, Gazelles, Water bucks, Warthogs, White and Black Rhinos and occasionally Leopards and Lions. Full board accommodation at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

Check out after breakfast and drive to the famous Masai mara national reserve ton arrive in time for lunch at Ilkeriani Mara Camp, enjoy an evening safari at the reserve also referred to as the seventh wonder of the world due to the world’s famous migration of the wildebeests that take place annually from July to October, Masai mara is vast savannah grassland of 1510 sq. km and no matter where you drive you are likely to see animals, It is also home to the big five animals, Cheetahs, Zebras, Giraffes, Topis, Gazelles, Common Elands, Waterbucks among other animals. Day 6 :
Masai Mara

This day is spent exploring the reserve with a full day game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve is contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. It is named in honor of the Masai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: "Mara" which is Maa ( Masai language) for "spotted" an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.
It is globally famous for its exceptional population of Masai Giraffes, lions, Gazelles, African leopards, elephants and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration Full board accommodation at Ilkeriani Mara Camp.

Breakfast will be served in the camp, check out and drive back to Nairobi to arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, justifiably referred to as Africa's Great Eating Experience, having twice been voted amongst the world's 50 best restaurants by UK based Restaurant magazine. You will be dropped off at the airport or at your Nairobi residence
